The seasonal discharge forecasts for the Ganges and the Brahmaputra rivers are based on the monthly ECMWF seasonal ensemble precipitation forecast. There are 40 members in the forecast. The accumulation rainfall for the two catchment areas of the Brahmaputra and the Ganges are transformed into the amount of discharge water through a linear regression formula.
